WHY YOU SHOULD QUIT YOUR GYM
If your one hour in the gym doesn’t help positively impact your 23 hours outside of the gym it’s no longer an investment it’s a cost
So one of the key things here is the question: Are we enabling ourselves to do everything in our control to have a positive experience in the gym?
This way we can keep associating these strong positive feelings and emotions with the facility it’s going to help us be better fathers, better mothers, better brothers, better sisters, better accountants whatever it is we are trying to do outside of the gym.
It’s not just about losing weight or “toning up” or just “getting stronger” but actually becoming better humans outside of the gym.
Now in saying all of this if we look at the following and ask:
-Am I doing everything that I can do in my mental state, emotional and thought experience?
-Am I supporting other people around me?
-Am I still not getting what I want out of the gym?
It’s important to pay attention to the fact that it’s okay also to change gyms.
There are certain vehicles that work for certain stages in our life that won’t work later in life so there will be times when you are looking for something else.
You may be looking for a different experience and that experience is going to help you grow. You’re not doing anyone a favour staying where you are for the sake of staying where you are. We say this really openly, all of these things matter If you know you’ve honestly done everything with in your power.
Make sure you are in an environment that is fuelling you and then you can contribute and help to fuel it back.
This is your life, this is your hour/ five hours of the week in your facility. This is your opportunity to grow and get the most out of your life.
That’s why the leader of the environment is so crucial as well because they become the centre of growth to help everyone else grow as well. So if the leader is growing, they are sharing their knowledge and learnings and everyone else has opportunity to grow.
The key thing there is to look at the environment and make sure that you are doing what you can to support the environment, to contribute to the environment and to put yourself in the best state that you can be in. To be the most resourceful you can be in that one hour to fuel your life outside of the gym.
So the key takeaway there is to Ask is this the right environment?
You know what, sometimes this is the right environment but it’s our own mindset that’s not being resourceful.
If you don’t sort that out, you can take the same mindset/problem with you…
Everywhere you go, there you are....
