MATCHING TENSION TO TASK
MATCHING TENSION TO TASK 🔧🔧
🔗The tension required in your first couple of reps of a set (let’s say a set of 8) won’t be the same as the tension required in the last couple of reps of your set.
🔗It’s important to be mindful of not overexerting yourself in the first couple of reps which then impact the the last few reps of your set. This can often cause someone to rush the set up and position/tension of the last repetitions of the set where attention and tension to detail is crucial.
🔗Although a healthy rule of thumb is to always have attention to detail, it becomes even more important towards the end of the set.
🔗It could be said that one should aim to have the quality of the reps at the end of the set the same as the quality of the reps at the beginning of the session.
🔗Take your time (but not too much!) and don’t try and rush the back end of the set as you fatigue. Potentially that’s where the window of risk of injury increases and this type of movement can wire you to lift like that.
