INTEGRATE OBJECTIVE AND SUBJECTIVE

When you follow a program you follow a model or a set of principles.

What we want to integrate is not just the objective side,(exercises/movements/behaviours) but we want to pay attention to the subjective side. (Workig IN) We can often look at models to understand ourselves better.

🖤These models are really important because they can actually point to what our motives are and what our motivations truly may be.

Not just a sense of being fitter and stronger but what are the deeper motivations and the deeper belief structures that these models can really help us to understand.

A couple of models that we use are the Enneagram typology which is more than a personality test and the reason why it’s more than that is because It actually becomes a path of development- of healthy and unhealthy for a particular individual.⏩⏩⏩

It comes from an angle that a personality is not something that we have, personality is something that we do. Hence the word personality is derived from the word persona which is the Greek word for MASK. 🎭

Personality effectively means the mask that we wear to deal with reality. 😕🎭😀

✅This is one way to help us understand ourselves better.
⁉️Why and how we may do and think particular things.
🧠Think of it as a program for development for the mental and emotional side of it rather than just the physical sid.

❇️There are also thinking patterns otherwise known as metaprograms that we train coaches to listen to and listen for. 👂🏼

🔴How to recognise patterns that we can feedback to clients so that they can understand particular drivers and patterns they may have that may be stopping or limiting their actual development in the gym.

👀These models are all in service of helping the client being able to see the frames and see the belief structures that they may run. This actually helps us to deepen the connection and see why we are training in the first place. 👓

❕When you can really get to the core of why you do what you do- and what you really want to do, you don’t need to be motivated. If you need motivation for something this indicates it’s not truely important to you.

🈸You can learn to make your training important to you if you learn to tie it to something outside of the gym and also if you can learn to understand yourself better.

㊙️Learning to understand yourself better is truely important for training and for life outside of the gym.

♻️So if you want to maximise your 23 hours outside of the gym then really make sure you learn to maximise your one hour inside the gym. 🔑
